Yarn Bank for Weavers

The Directorate of Handloom & Textiles proposed for establishment of Yarn Banks at every District Head Quarter in the State keeping in view the easy access of quality yarns by the poor weavers at reasonable price or may be in subsidized price. Altogether 27 Yarn Banks were approved and fund released for 11 Yarn Banks in first phase. The Yarn Banks are supported with good quantity of stocks of different quality and counts of Yarns as per requirement of the local weavers. All the 11 Banks are in function in 11 different districts and the rest are in process of sanction of fund and construction as well.
